The Healing Stones of Freed Bodyworks

Some of you may have noticed some new rocks and stones hanging around Freed Bodyworks. This is intentional! You may have read last month’s blog post about healing stones. If you missed it, here’s a quick recap: Just like some plants have healing properties, so do some rocks and crystals. Both are born out of the Earth, and therefore have certain minerals, and hold varying vibrations that can affect human health and healing. In addition to facilitating healing in bodies, stones can also help ‘heal’ or ‘clear’ the energy in spaces such as buildings, rooms, and vehicles.
Before going to the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, I meditated and asked for guidance on what stones might help us improve the flow and energy at Freed Bodyworks, and four came to me. Below are descriptions of the new healing stones in our space.
Healing Properties of the Freed Stones
These are pertinent excerpts taken from much longer explanations in The Book of Stones.

Apophyllite (white or green crystal clusters): Apophyllites are one of the most powerful mineral tools for lifting the veil that inhibits humans from experiencing the interconnectedness of the higher realms and our everyday world. Apophyllite crystals are mini-temples dedicated to the healing and enlightenment of the Earth and her children. Meditation with them can help one perceive the connectedness of all things in creation, as well as one’s highest role in returning balance to the Earth. These are ideal stones for those recovering from illness – invoking the energies of rebirth, healing and growth. Apophyllite was chosen for Freed, in part, to raise the overall vibration of the space, and to foster healing.

Copper: Copper is the metal of channeling energies. It has the ability to ground and transfer a wide array of vibrational frequencies from spiritual to the physical. Copper is a strong conductor of energy, and it enhances the energy of any earthly stone with which it is used. Copper is the most powerful metal to use in healing the physical body, as it aids one in balancing and strengthening all its levels and systems. Copper was chosen for Freed, in part, to protect from surrounding energies, and to ground and strengthen the energies of the Freed space.

Labradorite (rough, mostly grayish, with one polished iridescent surface): Labradorite is the gemstone of magic, and it awakens in those who carry or wear it the awareness of one’s innate magical powers. In working with Labradorite, one disconnects from any tendencies to attempt to control others, while one bonds deeply with the knowledge that self-mastery is the path of true fulfillment. Labradorite creates a force field throughout the aura, protecting and strengthening the energies within and preventing others from tapping into your personal energy and draining you. Labradorite was chosen for Freed, in part, to bring in more protective and magical energies.

Sodalite (rough, mostly blue stone): Sodalite enhances the mental powers of analysis, intuition, observation and creativity. It increases the frequency and accuracy of one’s ‘hunches’ and gives one confidence in one’s inner knowing. It helps one to let go of the self-judgement that causes second-guessing. Sodalite removes one from the pressures and worries of life and allows one to sink deeply into the subconscious and unconscious minds. Sodalite was chosen for Freed, in part, to minimize electromagnetic disturbances from Internet, cell phone, electric lines.
