Why Energy Work?
Energy work can reach the aspects of healing that other forms cannot. It is a form of healing that addresses what is invisible and neglected by most, and yet addresses the parts of ourselves that allow us to feel more connected, whole, and fulfilled. There are so many versions of energy work that can meet your needs. At Freed Bodyworks we have a group of talented energy workers with a range of gifts who can more holistically help you in your healing.

Reiki
Composed of 2 words, Rei and Ki, Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Rei is the Higher Intelligence that guides the creation and functioning of the universe. It is infinite, subtle wisdom that permeates everything. Ki is the non-physical energy that is flowing in all living things, much like a life force energy.
How your energy is used to heal in your practice--as in what does it do?
The great value of Reiki is that because it is guided by the Higher Intelligence, it knows exactly where to go and how to respond to restrictions in the flow of Ki. It can work directly in the unconscious parts of the mind/body which contain negative Ki-inhibiting thoughts and feelings and eliminate them. As Reiki flows through a sick or unhealthy area, it breaks up and washes away any negative thoughts or feelings lodged in the unconscious mind/body thus allowing a normal healthy flow of Ki to resume. As this happens, the unhealthy physical organs and tissues become properly nourished with Ki and begin functioning in a balanced healthy way thus replacing illness with health.
Healing Touch & Spiritual Response Therapy

Energy-based medicine is a vast field involving several distinct energetic healing modalities. In Healing Touch, practitioners use heart-centered intention and their hands to move discordant energy out of a client’s bio-field. When discordant or stagnant energy is released, the renewed flow of energy in the body and its systems returns wholeness into our being that manifests physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
How your energy is used to heal in your practice--as in what does it do?
In my healing work, I am a channel through which Universal and Earth energy flows, and am able to use my hands to direct, clear, connect and energize those areas in my clients that need directive healing. As any energetic blocks are removed, the free flow of energy through the bio-field activates the person’s own ability to self-heal. This interaction with Universal energy often manifests through me as information, guidance, and sources for understanding the experiences client are having.
What happens at a session?
The first session is 90 minutes long, which includes a complimentary 30 minute intake. During a session I will gently place my hands on or above the client's fully clothed body noting any sensations or imbalances to assess the energy field. I then choose a Healing Touch technique(s) that is appropriate for their needs. This may include light physical touch or sweeping hand motions above the body. A feedback discussion will follow. People have many different responses to energy work - every experience is unique because everyone’s energy is unique.
What is unique about your practice or modality or how you practice?
No two session are the same - even a weekly client will walk through the door with different energy and levels of consciousness, where we will attend to what they need that day, in that moment. What I love about energy healing is that it is impactful on all levels of one’s being: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and beyond. This is unique to other modalities that are solely physical, or primarily emotional/mental, for example. There is a beautiful melange of science and magic via the ‘known’ and understood properties of physics, and the ‘unknown’ and mystery that remains in Universe.
